Rachel Reichner Excellence In Scouting Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

• Aged 17-25
• Been a member of a Scouting program during high school.
• Enrolled or accepted into a post-secondary school for Fall 2024.
• Previous applicants may apply for the scholarship. Past scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply.

Evaluation Criteria:

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide high achieving Scouts financial assistance towards post- secondary school education.  This is a non-academic award and is based on leadership and achievements in a Scouting program.  Do not include your academic achievements or transcript as this will disqualify your application.

Scholarship Fund Disbursement:

The scholarship amount will be determined by The 37 Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.  The scholarship award will be payable to the recipient.  The 37 Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee will choose the number of recipients and the amount of the scholarship awards.  The scholarship award amount likely will range between $500 and $2,500.  Recipients will be required to submit a scholarship acceptance agreement, digital picture and thank you note before the scholarship award is disbursed. Failure to do so in a timely manner may result in forfeiture of the scholarship award.

Applications sent using Priority or Express mail services must be postmarked before May 31, 2024  Incomplete, late, or electronic submissions will not be accepted. Applications must be typed; handwritten applications will not be considered. Mail completed applications to:

Applications Must Include:

• Scholarship application completed in full. Additional pages may be attached as needed to fully answer all questions. Please note on the application form that you have attached additional pages to answer the question. Please clearly note which question you are answering on the additional pages.

• Two signed and sealed Letters of Recommendation (only two will be accepted)

• Essays as directed in the application

• Copy of acceptance letter from the post-secondary school for Fall 2024 or Certification of Enrollment in a post-secondary school

All scholarship applications become the property of the Scholarship Selection Committee and may be reproduced at any time. Taxes and reporting are the responsibility of the recipient.

Applicants receiving an award should be notified by July 31, 2024.
